Following a Different Path

Dr. Pam grew up in a medical environment; chiropractic wasn’t even on her radar as a career choice. A self-proclaimed nerd, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with a Biochemistry minor.

While in college, an advisor suggested chiropractic as a possible career. After much research, she decided that was the direction she wanted to follow.

Dr. Pam enrolled in Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, graduating in 1997. After receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, she moved to the South Metro area and began practicing in January 1998.

She is certified in Webster Technique and trained in Craniosacral Therapy to provide the best care options for her patients.

Changing Her Perspective

Dr. Pam was always active growing up and intended to gear her practice around sports chiropractic. Some friends introduced her to Dr. Charlie Ward, a chiropractic mentor. He took her under his wing, teaching her more about the philosophy of chiropractic.

Dr. Pam believes that bodies are self-healing, self-regulating organisms. If we take proper care of them, and the nervous system is working at full capacity, our bodies have an amazing ability to self-heal.

Her time with Dr. Ward helped Dr. Pam realize why she is doing what she does. This “aha” moment influenced her to change her focus from sports to family practice and wellness. While she still addresses sports injuries, it’s really satisfying to know what she did changed someone’s life.

Outside the Practice

Dr. Pam enjoys spending time with her family, cheering her three kids on at anything and everything, playing volleyball, league bowling (fun fact; her dad owned a bowling alley while she was growing up), and anything craftsy.
